Military innovations in the use of artificial intelligence and big data in civilian healthcare at the 24th Leadership and Management Conference
NATO Centre of Excellence for Military Medicine Medical Evaluation Course students and instructors, 86th Aeromedical Squadron Airmen, 16th Sustainment Brigade Soldiers and Landstuhl Regional Medical Center Airmen, took part on a mock medical evaluation at Ramstein Air Base and Kaiserslautern, at the US HHC 21 st Theater Sustainment Command, Germany, 17-21 November, 2025.
On November 11, 2025, a prestigious education and professional development event took place at the NATO Centre of Excellence for Military Medicine (NATO MILMED COE) in Budapest. Dr. Khaled Atalla, Director of the Emergency Department at the Galilee Medical Center in Nahariya, gave a comprehensive presentation on the practical realities of emergency medical care in conflict zones.
We are proud to announce the launch of the brand-new NATO CBRN Medical Awareness Online Course, developed as part of the CBRN Medical Education, Training, Exercise, and Evaluation (ETEE) Program.
The 1st International Conference on Integrated Approaches to Combat Trauma will be held in February 6-7, 2026, in Budapest, Hungary
On October 22, 2025, the NATO MILMED COE Change of Command ceremony took place in Budapest. In line with the rotation plan between Germany and Hungary, Brigadier General Dr. Jens Diehm took over the Director’s position of NATO MILMED COE from Colonel Dr. László Fazekas, who has been the Director of the Centre since 2022.

In July 2025, the NATO MILMED COE supported a valuable community initiative by providing professional assistance in the form of medical education and practical training during a major summer camp organised by the Hungarian Scout Association’s 8th Scout District.
