The article has been extended and supported by Prof Dr. Ken Boffard from University of Gothenburg, Sweden and the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, South Africa and Dr. Linda Sonesson Senior Clinical Education Fellow, Honorary Research Fellow, Collaborative Partnerships Office, Faculty of Medicine: South Kensington Campus, Imperial College London, United Kingdom; Department of Learning, Informatics, Management, and Ethics, Karolinska Institute, Stockholm, Sweden.
The NATO Centre of Excellence for Military Medicine takes pride in the fact that is an active knowledge centre, with many events and courses that serve the betterment and transformation of NATO’s medical capabilities. Nevertheless, our motto is still “Committed to the Health of our Forces” and we take it seriously. Therefore, adhering to National regulations and our own analysis, and by consulting with our partners, we announce the cancellation/postponement of the following events.
As Europe and the whole world is aiming to fight the COVID-19 Pandemic, NATO MILMED COE also has to make some hard choices and keep its commitment to the health of our forces as the first priority.
While we are a proud organizer of a wealth of events in service of NATO, the health of our forces and the public must take precedence. Therefore, MILMED COE Management have decided to cancel all of our events in Italy until the end of March.
