NATO Medical CD&E Seminar 02-04 May 2017 in Budapest

The NATO Centre of Excellence for Military Medicine (MILMED COE) will host a NATO Medical Concept Development and Experimentation (CD&E) Seminar provided by NATO School Oberammergau Mobile Education Training Team (METT). The event will take place on 2-4 May 2017 at Hotel Hadik in Budapest, Hungary.

Our Seminar follows the M7-51 NATO CD&E Course Curriculum, however it will be focused and tailored specifically to the Medical CD&E issues. Precondition of participation: Completing the NATO School ADL module 201 (CD&E) as an online foundation course (preseminar study).

The target audience of the Seminar are primarily Military Medical SMEs from OR-7 to OF-4 (or their civ. equals) from all NATO and Partner Nations, particularly those who are going to take part in the NATO Medical Excercise Vigorous Warrior 2017 (VW'17).

During the VW'17, there will be executed a serial of Medical Experiments. MILMED COE in close cooperation with Allied Command Transormation (ACT) decided to conduct in accordance with VW ’17 Exercise Objectives the Limited Objective Experiments on the following medical themes:

  • Interoperability / Modularity
  • Civ/Mil Cooperation Interface
  • Bio Responsiveness

The Learning Objectives of the Seminar are as follows: to enable students to work in NATO experimentation team in refining a concept in using a valid experimental setup, determine the conditions for a valid experiment, set up an experimentation team, execute the experimentation and refine concept based on results of the experimentation.
