Participation administration
1. NATO MILMED COE COURSES
The COE courses and trainings are open for all medical personnel assigned to NATO/EU/UN and personnel at positions closely connected to multinational cooperation in the field of military medicine. To register and to access the most updated information regarding the COE courses and trainings please visit the MILMED COE website (www.coemed.org). The COE-MED-M4-001/002/003/005 are accredited by NATO HQ SACT as “NATO SELECTED” and listed in the Education and Training Opportunities Catalogue. The mentioned courses are also registered and rewarded by credit points in the Hungarian Continuous Educational System for medical personnel by the Semmelweis Medical University Budapest and the National Institute for Quality- and Organizational Development in Healthcare and Medicines.
The courses will be available via ePRIME from the beginning of 2012 and common funds will be available through this system to finance course participation of NATO partner nations. The NATO MILMED COE is constantly accrediting the new courses by the above mentioned authorities and they will be listed in the respective catalogues.

2. CONDITIONS OF THE PARTICIPATION
Tuition fee: The basic fee is 405,-EUR per course. For the FRT Training the tuition fee is 200,-EUR. The basic course fee for members from Sponsoring Nations is 283,-EUR.
Method of payment: The tuition fee needs to be transferred to the MILMED COE Bank account (see the details below) one month before the start of the course.

3. GENERAL RECOMMENDATIONS FOR STUDENTS
Reference documentation need to be read prior to the course start. The promulgated versions of reference documents are available at NSA website (registration required).
4. ACCOMODATION, MEALS
Course participants are responsible to arrange their own accommodation. There are preferred Hotels/Accommodation locations because MILMED COE provides daily transfers between the preferred Hotels and the course venue.
For courses organized in Budapest, Hungary the recommended accommodation is at Art’Otel. Reservations should be made by the course participants using the title of the course (MIMMS, MEDEVAL, EMBI etc.). The price for a single room is approximately 92,- EUR. The rate includes breakfast, free Wi-Fi internet, sauna and access to the fitness room.
For courses organized in Hamburg, Germany the recommended accommodation is at Ibis Hotel Wansbeck. Reservation should be made by the course participants using the title of the course, EMPT. The price for a single room is approximately 92,- EUR, the rate includes breakfast.
For courses organized in Feldkirchen the recommended accommodation is at the barracks of the Gaubondenkaserne which is provided by the Bundeswehr. Those who do not wish to stay in the barracks must make their own arrangements and are asked to inform the Course Administrator.

Lunch will be provided at the course venues for approximately 4,- EUR per meal, the menu details will be available on site. There is no dinner service provided by the COE, but there are several nice restaurants near the Art'Otel Budapest (please see the MILMED COE Info booklet).
5. TRAVEL, TRANSPORTATION
Students are required to make their own travel arrangements to the Course venues. The MILMED COE provides local transportation from the recommended accommodation to the course site during the days of the course.
6. ORDERS
NATO Travel Orders or National Travel orders and valid (military) ID are required.
7. DRESS CODE OR UNIFORM REQUIREMENT
The standard dress code for MILMED COE courses is field uniform (BDU). Civilian dress may also be authorized by the Course Director for certain occasions.
8. SECURITY
The classification of the courses is NATO UNCLASSIFIED. Students are allowed to bring laptops, PDA’s or mobile phone to the NATO MILMED COE, but they must be switched off during classes. There is a wireless network for internet that is accessible by system with the latest versions operation system and all security updates installed (i.e. Windows XP sp3, Windows 7 and Mac Lion).
9. CANCELLATION
If you have registered and are not able to participate, you are asked to inform the COE and your national course POC as soon as possible.
10. CURRENCY
Currency of Hungary: Hungarian Forint (HUF). Please check the central rate on central bank the Magyar Nemzeti Bank webpage. VISA, MasterCard and other major international credit cards are usually accepted at the hotels, restaurants, larger shops or supermarkets. National bankcards with the “Maestro” logo are accepted at the majority of shops and restaurants.
